The company was founded in 2004 and is now owned by a combination of strong venture capital companies and private individuals.

Hexaformer is an innovative company with new solutions for the transformer market. Our technology allows us to manufacture symmetrical core cage with minimal material usage, a design that utilizes the material optimally and that provides optimal electrical properties.

Our transformers and reactors solutions help to improve the efficiency in the power grid. The "green" advantages such as lower losses and less material usedin the transformer are unique. It has created a big interest in our

products and in our company. The robustness and the lower weight of our products is of great value in many applications.

Our production facility is located in Västervik. It is owned by Hexaformer Produktion AB, a 100% subsidiary of Hexaformer AB.

The company is relatively young but has a well proven technology. The first transformers with Hexa-core were manufactured in 2000 and today more than 1500 transformers are installed in the field.

We work together with and license our patented technology to other transformer manufacturers. This is an active part of our drive to develop and diversify the product for new application areas and markets.

We are certified according to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004.

Our company is certified according to Sellihca. Sellihca is a supplier information register and a qualification system that Achilles operates on behalf of its customers, the utilities in the Nordic countries.
